I am a Mother of Two, Gestational Surrogate to One, Birth Doula and Photographer located just outside of Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Becoming a Mother was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I've long had a passion for pregnancy and birth. After my first birth and experiences with my own Doula and Midwives, it was clear to me that this was where my heart felt at home.
Shortly after completing my Doula training in 2014, I became pregnant with my second child. Putting into practice all of the wisdom and knowledge bestowed upon me during that transformative course really helped me further my intimate understanding of preparing for and giving birth. My first child was born in the hospital, my second was born at home and my third, a surrogate baby, was born via Cesarean. All of these experiences were beautiful and unique in their own way and have helped to shape the Doula that I am today.
Photography has long been a passion of mine. I bought my first 'big camera' when I lived in Australia nearly 10 years ago and fell in love with the world through my lens. I capture emotion in moments and in my heart of hearts, I am a Photo Journalist. This is why Birth Photography felt so right and natural for me. As my Photography career unfolds, so does my love for capturing life outside of Birth. I am always evolving and growing as an artist. At the core of my work is emotion and I adore capturing all of it.
